Chief Brody
- Chief Brody is the film's protagonist and main character and the story revolves around him.
- He has just moved into Amity Island and is the local Sheriff there.
- He is feared of water.
- Brody wanted to close the beach but the Mayor is reluctant and refused his offer
Hooper
- He is a shark specialist who came to Amity Island to catch the shark
- He is an intelligent person because he could easily determined which shark is the one who killed the residents of Amity Island.
Quint
- He is a professional hunter who came to catch the shark because of the bounty and hefty sum placed on the shark.
- He was involved in an incident which involved sharks during WW2.
Shark
- The shark is the "killer" that had take many lives of the residents of the Coast of Amity Island.
- It is rather unusual and doesn't behave like a normal shark.
